Description2 coils. Technical description: Brass; two coils; small ball; brass block soldered between bell and third yard; garland with Nürnberg rim; four rings for banner inside the four bows. Bell wired to two rings. Repair History: The wire at bell rim not original. Overall size: 370, bell 120. Sounding length: minimum 1985. Bore: mouthpipe at c 30mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore) 10.8; at 993mm from bell end, c 11.15; at c 255mm from bell end, 15.75; at 27.0mm from bell end, 70.5. B = 0.81. Bell cutoff = 1000 Hz. Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 11.95 - 11.25. General literature references: Tarr (1985, p.22) describes and illustrates a similar instrument. Tremmel (1993, p.139) refers to the "kurzwindigen Es Trompeten" that were introduced in 1803 04 to the `Minuey Kürassieren und Taxis Dragonern' in Bavaria.
