DescriptionTechnical description: Brass; bell-up wrap (saxotromba form). Ligature tuning at mouthpipe. Fitting for music card-holder. Valve type: 3 Périnet valves; bottom-sprung, alignment by key on piston.

Bore: tuning mouthpipe at distal end, 62mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore) 9.1; centre of valve cluster at c 120mm from mouthpiece receiver, v.t.s. bore (1,2,3) 10.0; 492mm from bell end, c 12.6; c 318mm from bell end, 17.8.
Dia of mouthpiece receiver: 9.2 (no taper).
Inscribed on bell "Gautrot Marquet / breveté s.g.d.g Paris" and monogram "GM" in ellipse; stamped on side of valve casings "1", "2", "3"; stamped on ligature collar at mouthpipe "C".
Usable pitch: Diapason Normal.
Purchased by lender with, possibly formerly used with and possibly supplied by manufacturer with mouthpiece (3430).
