DescriptionTechnical description: The round, slightly concave (almost straight, but unevenly curved), pernambuco (?) or ironwood (?) bow ends in a transitional head. The open, screw-mechanism, sloped, ivory frog has a brass screw eye. The ivory button is cylindrical with ribs. Measurements: Weight: 74g. Hair length: 586mm. Balance point: 253.5mm. Head height: 27.7mm. Head width: 12.6mm. Face length: 33.4mm (mid-point to mid-point). Tip diameter: 7.6mm. Frog diameter: 11.0mm. Nipple range: 2.1 to 2.4mm. Period of oscillation: 1.37. Distance from pivot to tail: 69.95mm. Button length: 12.5mm. Ferrule width: 12.1mm. Frog + stick height: 35.4mm. Frog top length: 46.5mm. No inscriptions. The frog has pieces broken off of its top edges. The button is cracked in several places. There are small dents in the head. There is a crack from the front, finger side corner of the stick (?) mortise. There are chips out of the cheeks of the stick mortise, an cracks on the underside of the upper half of the bow.
