Technical description: Unusual early integral valve horn in which a short mouthpipe leads into a tuning-slide followed by a valve cluster situated close to left hand position, permitting short valve stems; Short tuning-slides enabling use of crooks above F when pushed in. The third valve slide is elegantly re-curved to give cruciate double slide. Metal construction: yellow brass; seamed gusseted bell, garland width 40; all other segments seamed. With French pattern F crook. Valve type: 3 Périnet valves (the valves look identical to a trumpet cluster). Repair History: Bell garland has been cut, possibly to be removed to facilitate bell repair.
