DescriptionTechnical description: Made to the same specification as (3771) above. Bound in place with cord (red and white, with two tassels).- Overall size: 711; bell 123. Crook receiver ferrule broken off and missing.Wooden spacing block a replacement; soldered joints at ferrules probably originally loose. Inscribed on bell garland "I. BAUER IN. PRAG." and "H:Spolec:M:Sads:C:S:". Stamped on garland with circular Austrian-style crest and date "1818". Decorative features: as for (3770) above. Purchased by lender with similar trumpet (3770) and possibly original crook (3772) and crook for keyed trumpet (3773) not original. |
