DescriptionTechnical description: Brass with silver rim; flat (slightly coned) rim contour; maximum bite curvature 1.25; hemispherical cup shape with sharp-edged throat.Cup volume 2314; shape quotient 1.180. Overall size: length 62.5; external diameter 26.6. Sounding length: cup depth 10.5. Bore: cup diameter 17.4; minimum diameter 4.6. Depth of taper: shank depth 33.0. Diameter of taper: maximum 12.7; minimum 10.5. Stamped (axially) at top of shank "2". General literature references: Dudgeon (1993, pp.185 186) refers to the not unusual use of trumpet type mouthpieces in keyed bugles. Purchased by lender with but probably not formerly used with gemelli in F/E♭ (875). |
