Overall size: length 57.6; external diameter 27.0. Sounding length: cup depth 12.6. Bore: cup diameter 18.2; minimum diameter 4.4. Depth of taper: shank depth 29.7. Diameter of taper: maximum 10.5; minimum 8.7. Stamped at top of taper "A. LECOMTE & CIE. / PARIS"; on side of cup traces of what may have been a monogram or trademark, not decipherable. Associated with Serpent Forveille (3683). When acquired by lender, it had been soldered into the crook, but is now separate. |
