DescriptionTechnical description: Silver-plated brass. Fixed mouthpipe. Screw for music card-holder. The main tuning-slide is long enough to accommodate tuning in both B♭ and A, with restraining screw. The slidepull for A is coupled by lever mechanism to 1st and 3rd valve tuning-slides: for playing in A the slide is fully extended (pulling out the 1st and 3rd valve tuning-slides) and then pushed back a little for correct tuning; for playing in B♭ the slide is fully pushed in (retracting the 1st and 3rd valve tuning-slides) and then extending a little for correct tuning. With 2 water-keys. Valve type: 3 Périnet valves, top-sprung with compression spring inside hollow stem; alignment by two unequal lugs on spring anchor plate. Cornet. Nominal pitch: Bb A. Maker: C.G.
