Technical description: Silver-plated brass, with 7-point "rayed" throat; semi-round rim contour; maximum bite curvature 2.25; intermediate cup shape with smoothly blended throat. Cup volume 1226; shape quotient 1.091. Overall size : length 59.5; external diameter 25.4. Sounding length: cup depth c 14; grain length 0. Bore: cup diameter 14.5; minimum diameter 4.0 at c 16. Depth of taper: shank depth 28. Diameter of taper: maximum 10.2; minimum 8.8. Stamped on side of cup "EMBOUCHURE RAYEE / GUILBAUT / Bté."; at top of shank "COUESNON & Cie. / PARIS" AND "No. 1".
