Technical description: Brass, traces of original silver-plating; medium rim contour; maximum bite curvature 1.5; deep conical cup shape with smoothly blended throat. Cup volume 3344; shape quotient 1.000. Overall size: length 66.4; external diameter 28.3. Sounding length: cup depth c 30. Bore: cup diameter 18.2; minimum diameter 4.6. Depth of taper: shank depth 34.8. Diameter of taper: maximum 11.8; minimum 9.4. Stamped on side of cup "3"; at top of shank "F. BESSON / LONDON".
