Technical description: silver-plated brass, circular form; water-key; fitting for music card holder. Valve type: 3 Périnet valves, top sprung by compression spring outside stem; alignment by key on piston. Maker: Buescher. Elkhart, Ind. 20th century. Overall size: 335; bell 114. Bore: v.t.s.(3,2,1) 11.6; m.t.s. 11.6. Dia of mouthpiece receiver: shank receiver taper on body 11.4 10.6. Inscribed on bell "THE / BUESCHER / ELKHART / IND / U.S.A."; on side of 1st and 3rd valve casings "1" and "3" resp. Decorative features: milled decoration on ferrules and stay ends. 2nd valve top cap and all three bottom caps are replacements (perfectly functional but not matching).
