DescriptionTechnical description: Boxwood with ivory ferrules and brass keys. Five pieces: mouthpiece, barrel, upper section, lower section, bell. Mouthpiece of dark wood, socket type, with an ivory ferrule. Grooved for cord with 10 grooves. Barrel, waisted, with a tenon and one ivory ferrule. Upper section: straight speaker, liner projects almost into the centre of bore. Lower section: Wide ivory ferrule instead of thumb rest. Levers for L4, tone-hole and key for R4 mounted in a bell-shaped swelling. All keys are working with leaf springs. Bell almost continuous with an ivory rim. L0: T; speaker. L1: T; throat A♮. L2: T. L3: T; E♭₄/B♭₅. L4: C♯₄/G♯₅; E₃/B♮₄; F♯₃/C♯₅. R1: T; side trill key for throat A-B♮ and B♭-C. R2: T; cross B♮₃/F♯₅. R3: T; cross B♭₃/F♮₅. R4: T; G♯₃/E♭₅. Keymount type: blocks and swelling. Keyhead type: round flat. Decorative features: groove on the top of upper section. Mouthpiece tip and tenon of barrel chipped. |
