Inscribed on bell: trademark: shield, surmounted by crown, flags on either side, spray of leaves below / "Gautrot Breveté / a Paris" / monogram: GA in ellipse; on flange of large bow guard: five point star, "817"; on side of linkage of key nearest bell: five point star, "817".
Decorative features: Blade of thumbscrew for crook ligature inscribed on both sides with a lyre emblem, but this may not be original as materials and workmanship differ from main instrument.
