DescriptionTechnical description: Rosewood; 5 sections; silver keys; 7 silver ferrules (two of which are now fixed together); wooden cap with decorated mother-of-pearl inlay; ivory screw-stopper; head partially metal-lined; small oval embouchure-hole; small finger-holes; G♯ hole on nearside of body, with C keyshank arched to curve over G♯ keyshank.

Keymount type: rod/pillar, with crescent- and diamond-shaped base plates screwed into wood.
Keyhead type: round, bevelled cup.
Repair History: Tuning-slide section [soldered] to head ferrule at socket, and metal lining inserted, extending part-way into head (tuning-slide section stamp now out of line with other inscriptions); tuning-slide section crack roughly glued.
