DescriptionTechnical description: Brass; bell forward form. The bore profile, with no expansion in the first half of the tube, is closer to that of a trumpet than to that of a cornet or saxhorn. The short form, however, is not typical of a trumpet. Shanks and crooks would not appear to have been intended, since the mouthpiece receiver is not set back. It is not known what name would have been used for this instrument by its maker or original users. Valve type: 3 Berlin valves.
