Technical description: Soundboard of spruce; ribs, back, neck and head of sycamore; fingerboard, tailpiece, tail-gut protector, endpin and chin-rest of ebony; pegs of rosewood with brass oval knobs at end. The instrument is in mint condition, little sign of it having ever been played. The soundboard grain is close and even, purfling of ebony/sycamore/ebony. Soundboard arch 16.5mm. Varnish a golden orange colour. The ribs have a deep figure, one piece back also with deep figure, the figure more or less horizontal. Back arch 16.5mm. Plugged holes on the back at the top and bottom. Well cut scroll and volute. Neck 132 long; fingerboard 271 long, 24.2 wide at nut, 43.4 wide at bottom.
