DescriptionTechnical description: In two sections (with a separate bell). Probably African blackwood with german silver keys and ferrule at the socket. The E♭ key is on the bell section. There are two vent holes in the bell. The bell is bulbous rather than flaring. The keys are all levers. 6 keys L0: T; 8. L1: T. L2: T. L3: T; B♭. L4: G♯. R1: T; C. R2: T. R3: T; F. R4: E♭. Keyhead type: cups. Keymount type: pillars. A metal ferrule and lining is missing from the reed well. Current ownership: Bequest of Sir Nicholas Shackleton, 2006.
