Description3 valves. Technical description: Brass; short model; cranked bell stay. With water-key. Ligature fixing at joint. Valve type: 3 Périnet valves, bottom sprung. Overall size: 750 (tuning slide in); bell 165. Sounding length: minimum 2635. Bore: at c 40mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore), 10.6; not expanding in 100 mm from mouthpiece receiver; distance to m.t.s. c 370mm, m.t.s. bore 12.1 (external diameter of distal leg is approximately 0.2mm greater than proximal leg due to wall thickness); v.t.s. bore 12.2; at 1318mm from bell end, c 12.2; at c 522mm from bell end, 17.2; at 24.4mm from bell end, 94.1. B = 0.69. Bell cutoff = 900 Hz. Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 11.5 - 10.8. Inscribed on bell "1st Class / Rivière & Hawkes / 28 / Leicester Square / LONDON"; on back of bell "1326"; on valves "15", "14", "13". Usable pitch: Old Philharmonic pitch.
