DescriptionThis 6-keyed instrument is made of boxwood with horn ferrules and brass keywork. It is in six pieces: mouthpiece (missing), barrel, upper section, middle section for the fingers of the right hand, lower section with keys, bell. The keymounts are turned wooden rings with swelling and saddles. The keyheads are of the flat square type.
The instrument is inscribed on all sections and the bell with: double-headed eagle / “KASPAR / TAUBER / WIENN”.

All keys SATB. Levers for L4, tone-hole and key for R4 mounted in a fusiform swelling. C♯[4]/G♯[5] key in saddle. E[3]/B♮[4] guided in a brass saddle. 6 keys.
