Technical description: Brass with german silver trim; plain german silver bell garland, width 23. Valve type: 3 side-action rotary valves; cork buffers on top caps. Overall size: 773; bell 222. Sounding length: minimum 2622. Bore: mouthpipe at c 50mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore) 12.1; m.t.s. at c 274mm and at 348mm from mouthpiece receiver, tuning slide bore 13.2; centre of valve cluster at c 594mm from mouthpiece receiver, v.t.s. bore (1,2,3) 13.2; 1311mm from bell end, c 26.6; c 818mm from bell end, 37.6. B = 0.44. Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 12.8 12.4. Possibly imported to the United States from Germany. Embossed german silver shield shaped plaque on bell with monogram "S" or "IS" within laurel wreath topped by 5 pointed star.
