Technical description: Wooden concial shell; heads tensioned by leather thongs bound round at waist to further tension the thongs running from head to head. Head diameters 130, 80.
General usage of type: Band instrument played as a pair with 1520. Specific usage history: Used with (1520) as pair beaten one with each hand in supporting rhythm.
