Trompette des cent gardes. Technical description: brass, wired rim without garland; two loops for banner; lapped with red/green braided cord with tassels. Overall size: 849; bell 127. Sounding length: minimum 1992. Bore: at c 30mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore), 10.1; at 996mm from bell end, c 11.2; at c 304mm from bell end, 15.8; at 14.5mm from bell end, 73.3. B = 0.74. Bell cutoff = 1400 Hz. Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 10.8 - 10.1. Inscribed on bell "Adolphe Sax Brevetée à Paris,, 12501,, / Fteur de la Mson Milre de L'Empereur"; monogram AS with * "PARIS" * on stem of S and 3 asterisks on stem of S; near rim "3 55". Purchased by lender with mouthpiece (5796).
