DescriptionTechnical description: Silver-plated; medium rim contour; maximum bite curvature 1.5; deep funnel cup shape with smoothly blended throat. Cup volume 1963; shape quotient 1.167. Overall size: length 61.2; external diameter 26.5. Sounding length: cup depth c 16. Bore: cup diameter 17.0; minimum diameter 3.9. Depth of taper: shank depth 31.1. Diameter of taper: maximum 10.3; minimum 8.9. Stamped on side of cup "ANTOINE / COURTOIS / 88 P. DES MARAIS ST MARTIN / PARIS". Purchased by lender with, probably formerly used with and possibly supplied by manufacturer with cornet in Bb etc (3477).
