Of the full, final Rockstro system (1877) this flute lacks: (i) lever by which upper C♮ hole may be partially closed by L2 and (ii) small vent-hole connected with upper C♯; it does have the 1877 addition of a large hole connected to the D trill, and cannot therefore be classed as an earlier model; The 1873 addition of a lever for L1 to produce B♮ with L0 removed is on this instrument operated by R1. R4: @I{D♯; low C♯; low C roller. Keymount type: rod/pillar; needle springs except for L0 keys (leaf). Keyhead type: cylinder cup, with perforations for L2 and R1. |
