Technical description: silver-plated brass; thumb-operated valve for F; water-key. Valve type: Banana-plate rotary valve with simple helical tension spring and string to ring for thumb. Overall size: 1174; bell 184. Sounding length: minimum 2714. Bore: at c 35mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore) 10.6; descending slide, 11.45; ascending slide, 11.45; v.t.s. bore 12.3; m.t.s. bores 13.05 - 14.6. at c 515mm from bell end, 16.2; at 29.3mm from bell end, 92.9. B = 0.72. Bell cutoff = 1000 Hz. Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 11.5 - 10.5. Inscribed on bell: circle enclosing "MÉDAILLE / DE / 1re.
