DescriptionThis 3-keyed boxwood instrument with brass keywork and turned wooden ferrules is thought to be German. It is made of three pieces: mouthpiece with integral barrel, body and shell. The key head type is flat and square and the keymounts are wooden turned rings. The instrument is inscribed on the bell “I P”. Technical description: Boxwood with brass keywork and turned wooden ferrules. Three pieces: mouthpiece with integral barrel, body and bell with R4 tone-hole duplicated for L4. 3rd key is for right thumb. Speaker liner projects almost into centre of bore. L0: T; speaker.
