DescriptionTechnical description: Stained boxwood with ivory ferrules and brass keywork. Six pieces: mouthpiece, barrel, upper section, middle section for the fingers of the right hand, lower section with E₃/B♮₄; F♯₃/C♯₅ tone-holes, bell. Levers for L4 and key for R4 mounted in a fusiform swelling. Original ivory mouthpiece grooved for cord. Plate on thumb-hole. Speaker key lever link passes round bore, chimney. Ingenious R0 additional E₃/B♮₄ key. Tuning slide between middle section and lower section. E₃/B♮₄ and F♯₃/C♯₅ levers mounted in rings on the keyhead to be flexible for tuning, because bell is not flexible. 15 keys; 1 plate. L0: plate; speaker. L1: T; throat A♮; throat A♭. L2: T. L3: T; cross E♭₄/B♭₅. L4: C♯₄/G♯₅; E₃/B♮₄; F♯₃/C♯₅; alternative lever for G♯₃/E♭₅. R0: additional E₃/B♮₄ key. R1: T; side F₄/C₆; side trill key for throat A-B♮ and B♭-C. R2: T.
