Valve type: 3 Périnet valves. Serial number: instrument 36319; valves 108215. According to the firm's archives [instruments books], the instrument was "F & Eb Bell Forwards Tenor Cor I.P. wkey with cyl, best", Model Forcor, made by Overdijk Snr in a batch of 1. Overall size: 460; bell 235. Sounding length: minimum 1835. Bore: mouthpipe at c 20mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore) 8.75; m.t.s. at c 290mm from mouthpiece receiver, tuning slide bore 10.9; m.t.s. at c 456mm from mouthpiece receiver, tuning slide bore 11.7; quick change valve c 544mm from mouthpiece receiver, v.t.s. bore 11.7; centre of valve cluster at c 632mm from mouthpiece receiver (in F), v.t.s. bore (3,2,1) 11.7; 917mm from bell end, c 13.6; c 557mm from bell end, 19.2. B = 0.54 (in F). Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 9.7 8.8. Valve type: 3 Périnet valves. Inscribed on upper side of bell "SOLBRON / (REGISTERED) / CLASS A" / trumpet & banner trademark enclosing "TRADEMARK / BOOSEY" / "BOOSEY & CO LTD / MAKERS. LONDON / 136323 / British Throughout" / "I.P." within ellipse; on side of valve casings "1", "2", "3"; on side of 2nd valve casing: trumpet & banner trademark enclosing "TRADE MARK / BOOSEY" / "108215"; on surround of quick change valve "F" and "Eb". "136323" apparently stamped in error for "136319", the latter clearly given in the firm's archives [instrument books]. |
