DescriptionTechnical description: Dark-stained boxwood; 4 sections; silver key; five chased silver ferrules; small circular embouchure-hole. Keymount type: ring; SATK. Keyhead type: flat square. Repair History: Crack repaired (bound with twine). Overall size: 606mm (without cap) Sounding length: embouchure to foot: 542mm Bore: conical Stamped "POTTER LONDON" in ribbon shape; on keys engraved "JS" or "IS" with leaves. Performance characteristics: Range D⁴ - G⁶. Speaks easily F♯⁴ - E⁶ with full warm sound, but not reliable (due to crack). D⁴ - F⁴ and F⁶ - G⁶ not clear. Usable pitch: A⁴ c 425 Hz (c 425 Hz).
