DescriptionTechnical description: Rosewood with german silver ferrules and keywork. Five pieces: mouthpiece, barrel, upper section, lower section, bell. Named cocus wood mouthpiece marked for a ligature presumably original. Metal tuning-slide between barrel and upper tenon. Lower section socket strengthened with a wide german silver sleeve. Curved speaker, speaker hole at the front of the instrument, speaker liner projects into bore, tube in thumb-hole projects into bore. All tone-holes for the right hand covered with plates. Articulated C♯₄/G♯₅, F♯₅-G♯₅ trill for R1. Patent C sharp mechanism. 13 keys, no rings. L0: @I{T; speaker. L1: @I{T; throat A♮. L2: @I{T; throat A♭. L3: @I{T; cross E♭₄/B♭₅.
