DescriptionTechnical description: Bookmatched spruce soundboard. Carved rose, 101mm diameter. Bridge of beech with rosewood on top of main section and at ends. Carved section at either end of the rectangular centre section. Inlaid diamond near bottom. Rosewood edging around the soundboard. 9 maple ribs, finely figured. Maple endclasp, with decorative centre part. Maple neck and head, the back of the head being pierced with a symmetrical decorative design. 19 boxwood pegs. The treble string is attached to its peg in a rider to reduce the angle of the string across the nut. Nut of bone. Fingerboard of rosewood. Width of neck 90.5mm at nut, 101.5mm at body join. Eight tied gut frets, and 4 wooden frets glued to the soundboard. Overall size: 743mm. Body length: 497mm. Body width, waist: 316mm at widest point. Body depth: 165mm (at deepest point). String length: 600mm. |
