Bore: mouthpipe (minimum bore) 14.0; centre of valve cluster at c 323mm from mouthpiece receiver, bore in piston straight through coquilles (1,2,3) 16.5; m.t.s. at c 640mm from mouthpiece receiver, tuning slide bore c 21; m.t.s. at c 1480mm from mouthpiece receiver, tuning slide bore c 25; 2635mm from bell end, c 45.0; c 1820mm from bell end, 63.6. B = 0.33. Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 15.2 - 14.5. Inscribed on bell "No 33112 / Saxhorn Ctre Basse en si♭ / Adolphe Sax Fleur Breveté / de la Mson. Milre. de l'Empereur / 50, rue St. Georges a Paris / SEUL / GRAND PRIX / 1867 / 1560" / imperfect lettering, possibly "L.M/24" upside down in ellipse / monogram trademark AS containing "PARIS"; on applied brass shield-shaped plate below this inscription "J.
