DescriptionTechnical description: silver-plated brass; ligature tuning-slide mouthpipe; two alternative corps de rechange for Old Philharmonic pitch or A₄ = 440 Hz respectively, differing in length by 37mm; tenons on both ends of corps de rechange, ligature sockets at distal end of body and at proximal end of bell. Both alternative corps de rechange marked with rings on both tenons for slide pull from D to C, adding 83mm to sounding length. Valve type: 3 Périnet valves, bottom sprung; alignment by key on piston. Inscribed on bell "''SOLBRON'' / (REGISTERED) / CLASS A" / trumpet-and-banner trademark containing "TRADEMARK" and "BOOSEY" / BOOSEY & Co. Ltd. / MAKERS. LONDON / 127861 / British Throughout"; on 2nd valve casing: trumpet-and-banner emblem containing "TRADEMARK" and "BOOSEY" / "100820"; on sides of valve casings and top and bottom caps "1", "2", "3"; on valve top caps "PATENT"; on longer of two tuning slides "I.P.". Overall size: 1033 (with longer corps de rechange); bell 115. Sounding length: minimum 993 (in D at Old Philharmonic pitch) or 1113 (in C at A⁴ = 440 Hz).
