Technical description: Blackwood with german silver ferrules and keywork. Five pieces: mouthpiece, barrel, upper section, lower section, bell. Boehm system with articulated G♯₅, simple-acting G♯₅ trill key, Fork B♭₅ and alternative E♭₅. L0: T + ring F₄/C♮₆; speaker. L1: T + ring F♯₄; throat A♮; throat A♭. L2: T + E♭₄/ B♭₅ corresponding ring. L3: T + ring; cross E♭₄/B♭₅. L4: C♯₄/G♯₅; F₃/C♮₅; E₃/B♮₄; F♯₃/C♯₅; G♯₃/E♭₅. R1: T + ring; E♭₄/B♭₅ via correspondence; trills 1-2-3. R2: T + ring B♮₃/F♯₅; E♭₄/B♭₅ via correspondence. R3: T + ring B♮₃/F♯₅; E♭₄/B♭₅ via correspondence; cross B♮₃/F♯₅. R4: G♯₃/E♭₅; E₃/B♮₄; F₃/C♮₅; F♯₃/C♯₅. Keymount type: pillars. Keyhead type: modern. Serial number: 385 P1. Overall size: 708; 633 to top of barrel. Bore: 14.8. Stamped on body with lyre / "BUFFET / Crampon & Cie / A PARIS" on oval cartouche / "BC" monogram / MADE IN FRANCE, and at back "385 P1"; also stamped "AGENTS / MOLD & Co. / 36 DEAN STREET / LONDON". With leather effect case, basic fittings. Usable pitch: Low pitch, A₄ = c 435 Hz. Used with B♭ instrument (129). Specific literature references: G.S. (1968) No. 184.
