DescriptionTechnical description: Set of smallpipes of ivory, with ebony block in common stock and original bag and bag cover. Chanter: Ivory. Seven finger-holes and one thumb-hole. No additional vent-holes. Lapped tenon with bulb. Connector pipe: Ivory connector pipe with ivory stock at bag. Black leather valve flap. Ivory stock. Common stock: Ebony mounting block holds the drones into the ivory stock. Drones: All drones composed of two sections. Bag: leather bag. Bag cover/cord: green wool bag cover with fringe around the chanter opening and bag end. Measurements: chanter length 205mm, bore 3.8mm; bass drone length c 225mm, bore at top 3.6mm; tenor drone 1 length c 155mm, bore at top 3.6; tenor drone 2 length 120mm, bore at top 3.0mm.
