DescriptionTechnical description: Triple-fretted clavichord. Compass 45 notes, C₂/E₂ - C₆ [C/E - c''']. 22 courses of strings each consisting of a pair of strings. The instrument is double-strung throughout in brass. Walnut case with spruce soundboard; pine lid with a leather hinge. String scalings: C₆ 126, F₅ 197, C₅ 259, F₄ 386, C₄ 486, F₃ 645, C₃ 751, F₂ 881, C₂/E₂ 900. Repair History: Restored by John Barnes in 1967; restrung by John Raymond in 1998 with revisions in 2004.
