L0: B♭. L1: T; `new' C. L2: T. L3: T. L4: G♯. R0: R1: T. R2: T. R3: T; F. R4: D♯; low C♯. Keymount type: knob. Keyhead type: flat octagonal, with round flat (open-standing) for low C♯. Stamped on head section "BAINBRIDGE / 35 / HOLBORN / HILL / LONDON" and by top key "NEW / C / Key / NEW / PATENT"; on lower section "PATENT" (partly obliterated by stud); on wind-cap "BAINBRIDGE / INVENTOR / LONDON / PATENT"; stamped with note names and numbers by respective finger-holes, with key names by respective keys on body, and with "NEW C key" on head section. Performance characteristics: Based on scale of E♭ (three-finger tonic); lowest six-finger note sounds B♭⁴. Usable pitch: Sounding A⁴ = c 447 Hz (c 25 cents above A⁴ = 440 Hz). |
