DescriptionThis instrument has a body of black painted pine(?), with an added fingerboard of sycamore. Iron pieces on either side at the bottom. Metal tangent bridge. Measurements: Neck 548mm long; metal horn 282mm long, 23.6mm diameter at the bottom, 175mm diameter at the top. Inscriptions: Label (on the bass side, below the bridge) "HOME MODEL / STROVIOLS / TRADE MARK / REGISTERED / BRITISH MANUFACTURE". Associated with bow (1647).
