The four valves in line, set at 45° angle to the three planes conventionally aligned with the instrument. Valve type: 4 Périnet valves, bottom sprung; alignment by key on piston. Overall size: 672; bell 240. Sounding length: minimum 2404 (in C); main tuning slide scribed for pull to B_ (adding 120) or pull to Bb (adding 240). Bore: mouthpipe at c 27mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore) 11.05; centre of valve cluster at c 273mm from mouthpiece receiver, v.t.s. bore (1,2,3,4) 14.0; m.t.s. at c 402mm from mouthpiece receiver, tuning slide bores 16.6 - 18.4; at 1202mm from bell end, c 26.8; at c 942mm from bell end, 37.9.
