Technical description: silver-plated brass; fixed mouthpipe model; water-key on m.t.s.; fitting for music card holder. Valve type: 3 Berlin-type valves, bottom sprung; alignment by key on piston. Rotary quick-change valve. Inscribed on bell "`The HANDELIAN Trumpet'" and "1851" / double medallion / "1862" / "KÖHLER & SON / MAKERS / 61.VICTORIA STREET / WESTMINSTER / LONDON". Overall size: 463; bell 104. Sounding length: minimum 1296. Bore: mouthpipe at c 20mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore) 10.0; centre of valve cluster at c 195mm from mouthpiece receiver, v.t.s. bore (1, 2, 3) 11.0; m.t.s. at c 315-516mm from mouthpiece receiver, tuning-slide bore 11.0; quick-change valve at c 561mm from mouthpiece receiver, tuning-slide bore 11.0; at 648mm from bell end, c 11.7; at c 245mm from bell end, 16.55; at 12.2mm from bell end, 71.9. B = 0.68. Bell cutoff = 1400 Hz. Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 10.7 - 10.1. Accessories: With brown fibre-board case. Probably formerly used with, and possibly supplied by maker with mouthpiece (4408).
