DescriptionTechnical description: Boxwood with silver keys. There is an onion shaped baluster at the top of the instrument. The low C key has a fish-tail touchpiece despite the lack of a third key. There are two vent-holes in the bell. There is an inward flange at the base of the bell. Keymount type: raised rings; SATK. Keyhead type: flat, octagonal. 2 keys Stamped on all three sections with "W.MILHOUSE / LONDON". Usuable pitch: A = 415 Hz Performance characteristics: Generally a clear and precise response with very good intonation, although there are some difficult notes, most noticeably C5 and E4.
