Bore: shank at c 50mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore) 10.9; shank at distal end, 10.5; crook at c 50mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore) 10.9; crook at distal end, 10.0; instrument body at c 35mm from shank/crook receiver (local minimum bore) 11.6; (m.t.s. stuck); v.t.s. 11.2. Dia of mouthpiece receiver: internal taper of shank 11.6 11.1, of crook 12.0 11.6; external taper of shank 11.1 12.0, of crook 11.6 12.1; shank/crook receiver taper 12.3 11.9. Technical description: Brass with german silver ferrules. Clapper key. Outer tuning slides attached to slide bows; inner slides to instrument body. Shank for A and crook for F. Valve type: 3 Stölzel valves with spring in sleeve; alignment by key on sleeve, and square stem. Inscribed on main tuning slide "B"; on shank "A"; on crook "F". Protective caps for valve touches. Shank for Bb, crooks for Ab and G missing. Purchased with mouthpiece (642).
