Description3 valves. Technical description: Brass, in 4 sections; ligature tuning at both ends of valve section; screwed joint between third section and bell section; fitting for music card holder. The inscription "G" on third section suggests that originally there may have been an alternative section for another pitch. Valve type: 3 Périnet valves, bottom sprung; alignment by key on piston. Overall size: 1688; bell 177. Sounding length: minimum 2393. Bore: at c 25mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore), 9.6; at c 246mm from mouthpiece receiver (proximal joint of valve section), 10.8; centre of valve cluster at c 381mm from mouthpiece receiver, v.t.s. bore (1,2,3) 11.0; at 1197mm from bell end, c 11.6; at 969mm from bell end (distal joint of valve section) 11.6: at c 478mm from bell end, 16.4; at 407mm from bell end (proximal end of bell section) 18.5; at 26.2mm from bell end, 96.4mm. B = 0.66. Bell cutoff = 900 Hz. Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 10.2 - 9.9. Inscribed on bell "COLOT CHAZELLE / DIJON"; on proximal ferrule of third section "1 / G"; on distal ferrule of third section "1 G"; on proximal ferrule of bell section "1".
