Technical description: Silver-plated brass; medium rim contour; maximum bite curvature 1.5; deep intermediate, almost conical, cup shape with smoothly blended throat. Cup volume 2733; shape quotient 1.160. Overall size: length 62.8; external diameter 26.3. Sounding length: cup depth c 19; grain length 0; Bore: cup diameter 17.4; minimum diameter 5.3 at c 32. Depth of taper: shank depth 29.8. Diameter of taper: maximum 10.8; minimum 8.5. Stamped at top of shank "BOOSEY & Co LONDON". Acquired by donor with, previously used with, and probably supplied by maker with tenor cor (4204).
