DescriptionTechnical description: The concave, round stick is made of ironwood (?) or dark pernambuco (?) with an ivory headface on its modern head. The screw-mechanism, open, rounded ebony frog has a mother-of-pearl eye on both sides. The rimmed octagonal button is made of ebony with nickel rings. Measurements: Weight: 57g. Hair length: 645mm. Balance point: 293mm. Head height: 24.6mm. Head width: 10.25mm. Face length: 22.35mm. Tip diameter: 6.5mm. Frog diameter: 8.4mm. Nipple range: 0.2 to 0.7mm. Period of oscillation: 1.38. Distance from pivot to tail: 67.85mm. Button length: 14.9mm. Ferrule width: 13.2mm. Frog + stick height: 26.5mm. Frog top length: 44.1mm. Inscriptions: Carved into the stick in front of hte mortise (the tip side), under the frog: "IILIXXX". The stick has two large cracks extending from the button. The nipple is mostly broken off.
