Inscribed on bell "JOHN GREY / & / SONS / LONDON"; on back of bell near stay "MADE IN ITALY"; rather crudely incised on mouthpipe ferrule and beneath main inscription on bell "XKXV"; on underside of 1st touchpiece "58", and on underside of 2nd, 3rd and 4th touchpieces "97".
Decorative features: Foliage pattern around main inscription on bell.
Actual maker probably Orsi.
With fitted wooden case, black artificial leather covered.
Usable pitch: With main tuning slide pushed right in, plays at A4 = 440 Hz.
Performance characteristics: Free blowing; badly positioned thumb valve lever.
