Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 10.7 10.2. Technical description: Brass. Ligature tuning at mouthpipe. Valve type: 3 rotary valves, cork buffers mounted on rotors. Inscribed on bell on added elliptical plate "MUSIK UNION / INH. HUGO LÖWIN / Sämtliche Musikinstrumente / WIEN, XIV. Reindorfgasse 34"; on side of each valve housing "11". Usable pitch: High pitch, tunable to A4 = 440 Hz. Performance characteristics: 2nd natural note C4 is very flat. Purchased by lender with but probably not formerly used with mouthpiece (1672). |
