Performance characteristics: [Original range D⁴ - B♭⁶ (sounding D⁵ - B♭⁷)]; does not speak below F♯⁴ (sounding F♯⁵) in present condition.
Usable pitch: Sounding A⁴ = c 437 Hz.
In plastic-covered hard case, lined with purple velvet
Lower ferrule of tuning-slide section is stuck at an angle, not flush with wood, and extending slightly beyond the end of the wood, (the piccolo can therefore not be fully pushed in); C key lacks spring; slight cracks in tenon
Stamped on head within dotted oval, "o ADLER & CO o" / six-pointed star between arrow heads / "MARKNEUKIRCHEN"; beneath the oval, stamped "SONORA"; stamped on body within dotted oval "o A.IB.R.E. WESTERLUND OIY. o" / circle in centre of inward-pointing arrows / "HELSINGFORS HELSINKI". |
