DescriptionTechnical description: The round, concave, pernambuco (?) (or brazilwood) stick has a red varnish, a leather grip, a winding of alternating `whalebone' and metal thread and ends in a modern head with an ivory headface and ebony headface lining. Near the head, the stick is very narrow. The screw-mechanism, squared, ebony frog has a nickel underslide, a nickel heelplate, a nickel ferrule with a wooden ferrule wedge, and a mother-of-pearl slide. The underslide is held in place by two screws, one on either side of the screw eye. The ebony button has nickel rings and is octagonal with a rim.
