Description

Long-necked lute made of wood, fretless with 7 strings, with one drone string attached to a peg at the side of the neck; neck two-parted, joint with hinge function, can be folded backwards and comes to rest in a slit at the back of the soundbox; soundbox bowl-shaped with double waist covered partly with painted skin, wooden soundboard with two spiral ; single loose brigde; curved pegbox holds 6 pegs, with detailed carved dragons head; painted colourfully on both sides, depicting dung dkar (conch).
